    répondre: The energy ratings for appliances and bulbs have changed to accommodate more efficient products, and future products. The previous energy rating scheme was showing it's age to the point where most products produced would qualify for A or higher, even though much more efficient products existed - they'd be sitting with much less efficient products. The new rating doesn't mean it's a less efficient bulb - the newer scheme just requires higher lumens produced per watt. This bulb in the older energy rating scheme would be around A to A+.

    répondre: No, they come on straight away at full brightness. Note: I purchased the 10w 4000k 1055lm 80mA version not the 14w.
