Ölümün peşinden ayrılmayan, epey ince fikirli bir yazardır Sadık Hidayet; yirminci yüzyıl İran edebiyatına yön veren isimdir. Kör Baykuş'ta kurguladığı anlatıcı, hayalle gerçek arasında, dünle bugün arasında gidip gelir; hayat ve gerçekler karşısında yenik düşen insanın hikayesini bugüne nakleder. Birinci şahsın ağzından anlatılan hikaye, güzel bir şiirden, bir acının mateminden başka bir şey değildir. Hem dünden koparılmış hem de yarını olmayan, başıboş ve huzursuz insanın öyküsüdür bu.
