Jim Kjelgaard Dogs Kids' Books Editorial Review
"Another favorite book from childhood" is a heartwarming and timeless tale that will captivate readers of all ages. Written in 1967, this book tells the story of a show dog and his special bond with a young boy who sees beyond his looks. Unlike many dog stories, this book does not end in tragedy, making it a refreshing and uplifting read. The author's daughter, who coincidentally taught the reviewer freshman composition in 1971, adds an interesting personal connection to the book. It is clear that the reviewer holds a sentimental attachment to this story, as it remains one of their favorite children's books. If you are a dog lover, "Another favorite book from childhood" is a must-read. It explores the unwavering loyalty and devotion that dogs have for their owners, leaving readers with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Overall, this book is a timeless classic that deserves a place on every child's bookshelf.
